JonBro

WALL-E is pretty much the best movie I've EVER seen.

Nice. The country I'm in doesn't get the movie till two days before I return to the US, so I'll have to wait a month before I can see it.

BLARG.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 11:57 AM SamIam says:

Arg, Wanna see that movie sooo bad. Is it better than Toy Story or The Incredibles because those were Pixars best movies?

Jun. 30, 2008 | 11:59 AM JonBro responds:

I personally would say it's my favorite Pixar movie, but others may disagree. One thing is for certain, though: PIXAR IS THE BEST!

Jun. 30, 2008 | 12:03 PM Eddie says:

Who's your favorite character?

Jun. 30, 2008 | 6:25 PM JonBro responds:

WALL-E PWNS.
There aren't really all that many other characters in the movie.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 12:08 PM MetalMaverick says:

I don't know, it's gonna be hard for it to replace The Incredibles on my top spot for Pixar movies. Nevertheless I must watch it. I can't think of a single Pixar movie I didn't like.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 6:24 PM JonBro responds:

I can't either! I'm not sure Incredibles is my favorite, but ALL OF THEM ARE AWESOME.

EVE does blow a lot of stuff up with her gun arm.

my mini review:

It was actually surprisingly good. The animation was smooth and the graphics were great for the most part. I particularly liked the graphics of earth with its high resolution details of all of the garbage. The fat people made me laugh seeing how they all lived their lives floating around talking to other people on their computers. I'm surprised some of the fat people didn't get ridiculous bed sores from sitting so long. There were a few (a lot of) plot holes, but I suppose I could forgive them seeing how beautiful the graphics were and involving the characters were. I did notice that the movie didn't have any sort of intricate scenes that would require any second look over. Take that as good or bad, it made the movie easy to watch without a need to watch it again to get everything. Though the movie wasn't complex, it had a lot of deeper meanings behind a lot of the events of the story. The most obvious being that people trash their planet. But it also points out that people are getting fat and lazy, that they are narrow minded and don't really notice the world around them. The movie also made the point that one dedicated individual could help pull everyone together and help save the human race from disaster.
Overall it was a 'cute' movie and I think mostly anyone could watch it and enjoy it. Everything from WALL-E's collection of strange items in his lockup to the malfunctioning massage machine attacking, everyone could find something that would make them laugh.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 6:29 PM JonBro responds:

IT WAS ACTUALLY SURPRISINGLY GOOD IS RIGHT!

Jun. 30, 2008 | 2:23 PM auradragon77 says:

I TOTALLY agree, the artwork is what i liked the most

the fat people scared me though

Jun. 30, 2008 | 6:29 PM JonBro responds:

lol

Jun. 30, 2008 | 2:36 PM BMack24 says:

indeed, there were a good bit of plot holes. for example: wouldn't living in a sterile environment for seven centuries weaken the humans' immune systems immensely, causing them to get sick and die as soon as they set foot on earth? also, they're taught to be lazy and consume and not worry about anything, but when they get to earth they're willing and able to do physical labor? hmm.

oh yeah, my comment contained spoilers, so don't read it if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 6:30 PM JonBro responds:

I like how you said that AFTER writing everything else.

*spoilers*

I LOVED HOW EVERYONE WAS INACTIVE AND OBESE, and how the captain (who was also obese) learned how to stand up from watching videos.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 5:10 PM knightsofthecircle says:

I hate how humans are portrayed as fat slobs. It may be true, but that's still pretty offensive.

Jun. 30, 2008 | 6:34 PM JonBro responds:

Well, if none of them excercised and all they consumed was 'cupcakes in a cup' for seven hundred years, of course none of them would be skinny. (By the way, throughout the beginning of the credits, the people gradually get skinnier)

Jun. 30, 2008 | 9:55 PM JonBro responds:

Door number 3?

Jun. 30, 2008 | 11:04 PM Person-guy says:

I agree, I love WALL-E. And Pixar is the greatest. One of my friends is trying to convince me Dreamworks is better, that's just laughable.

Jul. 2, 2008 | 12:15 AM JonBro responds:

DREAMWORKS LOL

Kung Fu Panda was pretty awesome, and Shrek used to be pretty cool, but PIXAR IS UNQUESTIONABLY THE BEST EVER

Jun. 30, 2008 | 11:16 PM hyperNOOB says:

There is going to be a game for WALL-E you know
I think you can download a demo somewhere...

Jul. 2, 2008 | 12:15 AM JonBro responds:

meh

Jul. 1, 2008 | 12:14 AM MetalMario says:

Ditto here. This is definately Pixar's best film to date! The unfortunate thing about the it is that the resolution doesn't leave much open for a sequel. Maybe a prequel hopefully; that'd probably be interesting.

Jul. 2, 2008 | 12:16 AM JonBro responds:

Nah. It doesn't need a sequel. I hate it when movies that don't need sequels get sequels... Unless it's Toy Story 2. Toy Story 2 is the best sequel to any movie ever. #3 might ruin it =(

Jul. 1, 2008 | 3:45 AM ShirtTurtle says:

this is the future guys people don't like talking animals anymore they want somethig better;; robots yea

Jul. 2, 2008 | 12:16 AM JonBro responds:

Jul. 5, 2008 | 11:34 AM JonBro responds:

I dunno, I'd recommend eating the legs first and going up.

Jul. 5, 2008 | 10:36 AM Nuttro says:

mainly I hate all both disney and pixar films, WALL-E is either one of em so it's something im never gonna see. It'd be pixar though wouldnt it? disney has a lotta 2d cartoons and fairy tales but when i saw the incredables that was the last straw

Jul. 5, 2008 | 11:40 AM JonBro responds:

WHAT THE F***?!

YOU DON'T LIKE PIXAR?!

PIXAR IS THE BEST OF ALL TIME. NOTHING WILL EVER, EVER, EVER BEAT PIXAR, EVER.

I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THAT ENOUGH.

WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU ON?!

DISNEY RECENTLY PRETTY MUCH DIED BECAUSE ALL THEY'VE BEEN MAKING RECENTLY IS CRAP, BUT PIXAR IS NOT DISNEY AND WILL NEVER BE DISNEY. ALL DISNEY DOES IS STAMP THEIR OWN LABEL ON A PIXAR MOVIE ONCE IT'S DONE. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.

PIXAR IS BRILLIANT WITH THEIR STORYTELLING. THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN AND THEY ALWAYS WILL BE. TOY STORY WAS AMAZING, A BUG'S LIFE WAS FANTASTIC, AND WALL-E IS THE MOST AMAZING MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, BAR NONE. IT SHOWS MORE EMOTION THAN ANY OTHER MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN, IT HAS A TRULY DEEP MEANING THAT NO DISNEY MOVIE AS OF NOW COULD EVEN TOUCH, AND I HAVE TO SAY, IT'S ALSO THE CUTEST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN.

WATCH WALL-E. DON'T THINK OF IT AS "JUST ANOTHER CRAP MOVIE." THINK OF IT AS SOMETHING VERY NEW, VERY FRESH. DON'T THINK OF ANY OTHER PIXAR OR DISNEY MOVIES WHILE WATCHING IT. JUST FOCUS ON THE CUTENESS, THE DEEP MEANING, AND THE EMOTION. IT IS A MOVIE LIKE NO OTHER.

YOU.

WILL.

NOT.

REGRET IT.
