For those wondering about Riddle School 6

Posted by JonBro - June 6th, 2011

I have three things to say:

# 1
There will not be a Riddle School 6.

# 2
If there was one, it would look exactly like this.

# 3
Riddle Transfer will be a five-part series* which takes place after Riddle School 5. This is the only finished game of the series, so it could potentially be a few years before the conclusion finally arrives. In any case, I believe the Riddle Transfer games will outdo all the Riddle School games by a longshot, and what has just been released is only the beginning of a deep and wild adventure.

(*note -- will no longer be a series)

YayPig.

That's some pig.

How do I go about solving the snoz puzzle? I figured that it has 5 digits, but other than that I have no clue.
Please tell me what do I have to do in order to know the code? I've been trying for 40 minutes.

You have to assume that one of the letters is two numbers.

I got stuck on the part when I had to turn off the door when I realized that I just had to push a button

I guess my ideas of puzzles can be kind of weird at times.

i think im the only one who ever wonders about riddle school jonathan.

Probably so.

I think I'll start PMing Goat-Man about why he won't let me get a freakin' daisy.

You might be overthinking it. Also I don't think he's actually gotten around to playing this yet, so your PMing would probably be pretty funny.

Now go update your website C:

ENNNGGGHHHHHH

Okay :(

I'll either do it tonight or tomorrow. Just for you.

The game was great. Nothing else to say. Enjoy those words of praise.

Can't wait for the next installment. I especially enjoyed the small (and also funny) cutscenes. Good job.

Just feel like mentioning: Every time I looked through the Audio Portal for songs to put in this game, I saw your name. Thanks for playing through! Perhaps at some point, I'll find a place for your music.

I could watch Phil get hit in the face with Chloro-Fill for hours.

lol

The tessellating puzzles are EVIL but I forgive you because of the rest of this excellent series.

I knowww but I was having a hard time thinking of puzzles for the last room in the game, and that just happened to be one of my only decent ideas...

On the plus side, your username is awesome.

i need a walkthrough I GIVE UP!!

I haven't made a walkthrough, yet but I know there are some.

i wish the game auto saved so badly - - i was JUST about to beat it and i had to go and upon coming back found out i would have to start over!! agh!

I was going to implement auto-saving, but my brain isn't confident enough right now to make a save-feature where certain things might save incorrectly. Maybe in the next one.

Can I borrow some money?

I have some Monopoly money if that's okay.

No more revisits to RS characters, eh? But thanks for revamping the series anyway.

The storyline I came up with wouldn't allow any other returning characters. At least not yet.

Eh... in Riddle Transfer, I can't load the preloader... what do I do? :U?

The preloader might take a little bit of time to load. ...Oh, the irony.

Just a random thing. I found that after I clicked on the "Bigtoe" sign and the dude tells me that pinkytoe is Santa's elf, the same speech bubble would appear when I click on the smoke detector in the goat's place.

Good to know. I'm on it.

Thank you for responding to my review. Sorry if this turns out to be annoying however i just thought i should share with you my ideas for ways to change the gameplay a bit. I thought maybe for one part you could add in a timed puzzle. Give the player about 2 or 3 minutes to complete a puzzle with a fairly obvious answer. Also i thought maybe the abilty to play as another character in one game (maybe Diz?) would work quite well. Maybe add in some features or items that differ from character to character. Maybe these 2 ideas might work well with the series and maybe not I just thought i would share them with you.

The ability to play as another character/other characters is actually already in my mind. And the timed puzzles might work, though I personally think it fits the series better to give players as much time as they need to complete a puzzle.

Great input. And now I'm considering special-thanking you in RT2.

What the heck

What was the heck was the what the what the what?
-possibly obscure reference

I finished the game. It was wonderful. I'm looking forward towards your other games.

Thanks to you, I won't get doing that musical essay any time soon.

I both appreciate that and don't appreciate that.

Glad you like it. :)
Go work on your essay >:(

Haha! You really caught me by surprise with this one Jonbro, I really thought you were sick of riddle games. :) It wasn't your hardest game yet but the puzzles were probably your most enjoyable ones. I cracked up at all the nerdy references like the pork one, and the puns made me smile. The only thing I disliked was the fact that I miss cold Zack a lot but that's about it. But you did a really good job, thanks for the fun.

Well, thank you! Cold Zack was fun, but I think I'll be able to find a lot more to do with burning Zack, especially since he can talk without chattering his teeth now.

Nice game as always, currently playing it. But I found a blooper: the TV screen shows the cell door as closed even after you've opened it.

That's because the TV screen isn't real-time. If it was, there would already be a code on the real dialpad before you type anything in. That's why there's a flashing 'stop' square in the corner. But it's an understandable misconception.
