JonBro! I feel like I understand your decision. I too am primarily developing games these days & instead of browser games, I have my eyes set on steam, mobile and even console.
I wish you the best of luck and will try to keep up to date your work. I hope one day we can collaborate on a game or even an animation (I so badly want to get back into animation)

It's great to see you find new motivation and a new direction man. It saddens me a little to know that you'll no longer be doing things in the vein of your Riddle series, that was always one of my favorites on Newgrounds, but I'm rooting for you either way. I hope you find good fortune whatever path you choose to take. Good luck and, most importantly, have fun.
...Can't say much, from many things I guess in a way you shaped me and my brothers life, not in a huge significant way, but I will say that your riddle school series is what started the basis for our love and passion for escape games, and I would like to say thank you, I will always look to your games for fun and enjoyment, and I will say that anything you make, I will not skip, I will always give it a thumb up(Unless you ask for some kind of specific negative criticism) because every thumb up, will help you, and the whole community, that plays your games. When and Will you create a new account on Newgrounds called Jonochrome?
This name is going to take some time for me to get used to, too.
I've made a Jonochrome Newgrounds account, although I'm not sure that I'll have a reason to use it.
As a brand name, I prefer JonBro to Jonochrome but it seems your decision is set. (I'd still recommend you hold on to the JonBro.com and such)
JonBro is two short words which are easy and quick to say and thus easier for someone to remember, which is important for branding.
Jonochrome is much longer and the first thing people are going to think of is the Google Chrome browser, and not your work. Depending what you wish to do in the future that may become even a bigger problem.
I am a new user and you don't know me, but I remembered playing some of your games in the past since the name was familiar, and then I saw this in the recent feeds. I don't think I would have remembered Jonochrome as a name.
I don't know what all your reasoning for the change is, but that's my 2 cents. Hopefully giving you another perspective of things.
I agree that JonBro is a more memorable name that's quick and easy to say, but it's also a name that has been used by several people other than myself, and it sounds less professional than what I have now. Given what I have plans to do, I don't see how the name Jonochrome could possibly cause any bigger problems, but I appreciate the concern. What I hope to do is make the name memorable through my work. I don't think anyone in the United States would remember Shigeru Miyamoto's name if it wasn't for his accomplishments in the gaming industry, but now most people don't need to give it a second thought.

Well, personally, I don't see JonBro as a childish name (maybe because I'm not a native speaker), but it doesn't really matter - it's your name and if you feel it doesn't suit you anymore... I remember how awkward it felt while I was using a nickname I chose when I was ten (Tom rrrr - and this one really does sound childish) even seven years later.
If this is your farewell to Newgrounds, I just wanted to say good luck.
Concerning your submissions here, I believe it's not like people wanted you to make Riddle School till death. We all love Riddle School because of your great sense of humour and interesting ideas, which however can't be seen that much in, let's say, a platformer. But after five sequels, who could possibly get mad at your decision to focus on something different? It might pretty much be one of the best games they ever played. E.g. how many movies with 5+ number in name got Oscars?

It's true personalities are really tied to usernames, I wonder how different things would've been if I chose something other than Cyberdevil... but personally I'm still happy with that choics, it's like a boost of (will)power to my normal order. I'll stay a fan man!

Why is everyone taking this like it is death? I'll use an analogy; this is just a new favorite color. And JonBro... can you make a NewGrounds clip or something about like a little stick figure that represents you, and how it dies, but then its soul goes out of the body and rebuilds itself into a new person named JonoChrome. Please?
Ha, that's an interesting way of looking at it. But I think it's a little late to make a Newgrounds animation. I'd rather illustrate my change to a new identity by making something, well, new, which I'm working on slowly!

As I said, I'm not exactly leaving Newgrounds, I'm just reducing my activity here to responding to messages. I'm still here every day and I'll still keep making games to the best of my ability :)

The life all of us have is long, tight, fast, hard, etc. Days are getting slower, unfunnier, and everything else you can imagine as bad, because I think my life is dead, I'm still alive, but with almost nothing to do.
